Alix Waline in Residence at Dame des Arts
Located on Paris’s Left Bank, Hôtel Dame des Arts is an artistic hotel hosting a monthly artist residency and a cultural programme dedicated to contemporary art, design, cinema and literature.
Immersive exhibitions, site-specific installations, live performances and creative dining experiences regularly transform the hotel’s spaces into a vibrant place of creation in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
CARTE BLANCHE — ALIX WALINE
8 - 27 March
Hôtel Dame des Arts · Paris Left Bank
Visual artist Alix Waline explores ink as a living, expressive material. Her work is rooted in gesture, spontaneity and emotional intensity.
For this Carte Blanche, she takes over the spaces of Hôtel Dame des Arts, transforming ink into an immersive experience.
From the lobby to the Pimpan restaurant, ink enters into dialogue with glass, light and architecture.
Glass becomes surface.
The table becomes stage.
The hotel becomes an artistic journey.
This March marks a cultural highlight within the house.
This is not a traditional exhibition.
It is an artistic immersion.
Four-Hands Dinner
On 12 March, Hôtel Dame des Arts inaugurates Alix Waline’s Carte Blanche with a four-hands dinner imagined by Chef Clément Courtemanche at Pimpan restaurant.
From 8:00 pm, a live POSCA performance on the windows overlooking the garden will transform the space into a stage of creation.
Alix Waline’s artworks will be suspended from the ceiling, while table linens specially designed by the artist will accompany this dialogue between contemporary art and gastronomy on Paris’s Left Bank.
